Match Reports

Playing in the National championships at Royal Leamington Spa, representing Kent, the Herne Bay fours team of Alfie Lewis, Grant Allen, Ian Robb and Joe Kelly unfortunately lost their first round game 11-13 against Dorset. In a very close game the Bay quartet led early on and held 5 shots on the 5th end, only for the Dorset skip to kill the end with his last wood. Trailing 9-11 starting the 15th end Bay held 4 shots but with his last wood the Dorset skip took a lucky deflection off an outside wood that then rolled in for shot. Luck was truly against the Kent four and they were unable to close the gap on the final 3 ends.
Bay retained their Forest of Blean league title with a 35 shot win over Birchington. The seven and a half points gained gave Bay the title by 5 points.
