Herne Bay progressed to the 4th Round of the National Double 4’s with a victory over a strong Sandwich team by a total of 15 shots. Bay are now at home to Borough Green.

Bay tasted more success in National competitions with Ian Robb progressing to the 4th round of the Champion of Champions competition with a 21 – 17 win at St. Georges, Sheerness. Anita Harding and David Mason won their 3rd round mixed triples match at home to opponents from Folkestone Park and go to Ashford Rail for their next round.

In County competitions Bob Baldwin is through to the Divisional semi finals of the Singles a stage also reached by two Bay pairs Eddie Allen with Steve Brown and Ian Robb with David Mason. In the 4’s Terry Kelly, Bill Robb, Brian Dennis and Steve Brown have also reached the semi final stage.

Dawn Harris has reached the Divisonal final of the Ladies two wood which will be played at Victoria Park, Deal on Sunday 30th June.

Bay progressed to the 2nd round of the Bernard Annand Shield double rink tournament winning both rinks played against Betteshanger.

In the Forest of Blean League Bay picked up a 7 – 1 points tally in beating Charing by 32 shots. Bay won 5 of the 6 triples played. Len Brown, Stuart Emert and Robbie Irons winning 29 - 9

In the East Kent Mixed Triples league Bay won 4 of the 6 triples played against Barham picking up 6 of the 8 available points.

In the mixed match with Aylesham & Snowdown each club won 3 triples but Bay won overall by 32 shots helped by a 31 – 4 win for Colin Hadlow, Andy Cattanach and Peter Gibson.

In the final match of the week a mixed game with Ford Sports, Bay won 5 of the 8 rinks played and scrapped home overall by 1 shots.
