Grant Allen has reached the Kent County singles final again, having won the event last year. In the quarter-final he defeated Max Fisher of Empire bowling club 21-8 and in the semi-final he won 21-8 against Josh Rowe of Borough Green bowling club having trailed 3-8 at one time. The Final will be played at Halls on Sunday 7 August.
The club progressed to the Kent Final of the National Top club with wins in the singles, pairs and triples at Aylesham and Snowdown.
Both the Herne Bay ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams progressed to the 2nd round of the Cox cup.
Herne Bay ladies beat Sellindge in the Mollie Cleggett competition and will now play Ashford Rail.
