Herne Bay are through to the semi final of the Annual Bernard Annand Shield to be played on finals day at Herne Bay on Sunday 3rd September commencing at 10am. Bay won on both rinks played at Tilmanstone 21 - 6 and 22 - 16. Their semi final opponents will be local rivals Whitstable.
Bay retained the Trophy played for over 2 legs against Deal. having won at Deal by 41 shots in May, Bay completed the job with a 47 shot win at home with Bay winning 4 of the 5 triples played.
9 year old Logan Robb and 13 year old Alfie Lewis playing with Lyn Phillips and Bill Robb had a superb 32 - 12 rink win in the game with Sherborne from Dorset. Bay also won 5 of the other 6 rinks played and by 34 shots overall.
