Herne Bay bowler Sara Trotter reached the quarter final stage of the Ladies Senior singles in the National Championships held at Leamington where she lost a close game 21-18 to an opponent representing Somerset.
Bay were beaten in both Thanet league matches played during the week which has almost certainly cost them runners up spot.
48 members attended the annual Captain v Vice Captain match. It was a closely contested affair with Vice Captain John Phillips’s team beating Captain Steve Brown’s by 14 shots.
Bay won the annual Trophy game against Deal. Carrying forward a 1 shot defeat from the game played at Deal a 26-shot home win secured the Trophy.
