Bay pair go down fighting in County Final
Herne Bay pair David Mason and Ian Robb were beaten by 2 shots in their Kent County Pairs final at Marden. Trailing by 11 – 1 and then 17 – 7 the pair fought back well to be just 3 shots behind starting the last end, where with their opponents having only 2 bowls left to play  they were holding the 3 shots that would have got them to an extra end. Unfortunately the 1 shot they finally won only left them wondering what might have been.

Bay had an outstanding win at local rivals Whitstable in the Forest of Blean League winning 5 of the 6 triples played and by 80 shots. This enabled Bay to pick up 7 of the 8 points.

In the East Kent Mixed Triples League Bay got the better of Minster by 5 shots and picked up 4 ½ of the 8 available points.

Both the men and ladies had a home match with Borough of Croydon. The men won 2 of the 6 rinks played and went down by 11 shots. The best winning rink was John Dryland, John Offer, Andy Cattanach and Aaron Mairs 28 – 17. The ladies won 1 and drew 1 of the 6 rinks losing overall by 41. The winning rink was Diane Wiltshire, Sylvia Sweeting, Marianne Offer and Ruth Emert 22 – 20.

Bay had a convincing 51 shot win in a mixed match with Ash winning 5 of the 6 triples played.
