Herne Bay progressed to the last 4 in Kent in the National over 60’s mixed double 4’s with a thrilling win over Lenham. They are now home to Marden in the next round.

In County competitions David Mason is in the divisional semi- final in the singles and along with Ian Robb in the semi-final of the pairs. Gary Allen, Aaron Mairs, Ian Robb and Eddie Allen are in the semi-final of the 4’s which will be played at Herne Bay Bowls Club on Friday 27th June at 6pm.

Bay picked up 7 of the 8 available points in their home Forest of Blean league encounter with Charing. Bay won 5 of the 6 triples and by 31 shots overall.

In the East Kent mixed triples league Bay won 4 of the 6 triples played at home to Barham and by 73 shots overall giving Bay 6 points.

Bay won only 2 of the 6 triples played against Aylesham & Snowdown losing by 34 shots overall. The best winning triple of John Rawlings, Norman Kneale and Peter Gibson were 12 – 0 down after 3 ends but rallied well to win 24 – 16.

In a close mixed match with Kent Police the triples were shared 3 each with Bay getting an overall win by 2 shots.
