Herne Bay suffered a surprise home defeat in the Forest of Blean league encounter with Canterbury by 7 shots. Only winning triple on the night was David Mason, Robbie Irons and Ian Robb 24 – 8.

Bay got a slight revenge 2 days later winning the East Kent Mixed Triples league match at Canterbury by 30 shots picking up 6 of the 8 points.

The Bay men lost by 11 shots at Broadstairs with the Ladies sharing the same fate but by 13 shots.
